What you will do in your working day
Telephone handling: You will be responsible for answering and directing incoming calls, taking messages, and managing queries in a professional and courteous manner.
Filing and scanning: Maintaining an organised filing system is a crucial part of the role. You will be responsible for sorting, storing, and retrieving documents. Additionally, you will be responsible for scanning documents and ensuring that electronic copies are accurately stored in our system.
Photocopying: You will be required to make photocopies of various documents as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Raising new jobs on our computer System: You will be responsible for creating new job entries in our computer system, ensuring that all details are accurately recorded and updated.
Subcontractor orders: You will be tasked with raising subcontractor orders on our system and forwarding them to the correct subcontractors.
Data inputting: This role requires meticulous data input, such as timesheets, and maintaining accurate records.
General administrative duties: You may be tasked with any other administrative duties deemed reasonable by the business, which may include booking in works with clients/residents.
The training you will be getting
Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills upskill if required.
You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.
You will experience a blended learning model.
This is predominantly a work based programme which means that your learning will take place on the site of your employment and within your contracted working hours. We host supporting workshops regularly throughout the apprenticeship which you will attend in person at our Derby Road campus. Monthly tutorials are held via Microsft Teams.
You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.
At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
