The successful candidate will continue their studies with engineering industry specialists, West Notts College, Giving you the training, you need to become an all-rounded and qualified Engineer.

You’ll develop your skills alongside experienced service engineers. You’ll be taught and mentored on the shop floor and on site on how to maintain, install and inspect a variety of products with a team who are renowned for exceptional quality and eye for detail.

Main Duties:

  • Working alongside skilled engineers on the shop floor
  • Working on site with skilled engineers
  • Train to produce high quality bespoke equipment for the dairy and food industry
  • Gain an opportunity to gain skills in every department within the company
  • Help to maintain a high level of product finish to the end user
  • Attend day release for college studies

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship standard including the Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering.

This is a day release programme which means that during term time, you are expected to attend our engineering innovation centre for learning one day per week in NG17.

You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

You will experience a blended learning model.

You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.

At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed by all parties that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

On successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be progression opportunities and further training offered to support.
