Summary
As a Garage Door Manufacturing Apprentice on behalf of Comet Garage Doors, based in Burnopfield, you will work closely with the team to create high-quality garage doors. You will use various tools and equipment in the workplace, while gaining skills and knowledge from both your colleagues and your tutor.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
Daily Duties for this role will include;
- Assemble and manufacture a range of roller garage doors.
- Use a range of machinery, tools and equipment to develop products safely and efficiently.
- Cut, shape and finish materials for production.
- Inspect quality of finished products, for defects and ensuring they meet company requirements.
- Work as a team to work in a timely manner with colleagues.
- Working individually to meet planned deadlines and work efficiently, following a production schedule.
- Working with the team and alone to develop over all skills and knowledge – support will be given and this will include internal and external training support.
