Next Gen Eco are looking to expand their team and are seeking Sales & Customer Service Apprentices to join them based in Consett. Work

What you’ll do at work

The Role: 

Join our ambitious sales team as a Sales & Customer Service Apprentice and kick-start a rewarding career in energy sales. This is your chance to build valuable skills in sales and customer engagement while benefiting from uncapped commission.

Connect with potential customers:

  • Make outbound calls to introduce our services and spark interest

Generate leads:

  • Identify opportunities and hand overqualified leads to the sales team

  • Meet and exceed lead generation and call time goals

Collaborate:

  • Work closely with team members for seamless lead conversion

Stay informed:

  • Learn about industry trends to confidently discuss tailored solutions with customers

Leverage technology:

  • Use tools and software to track and improve performance

Course contents
  • Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
  • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

Your training plan

  • The Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard is completed fully within the workplace
  • When successful for the position you will work closely with a training consultant here at Derwentside College who will assist you with your face-to-face or remote learning

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English & maths (grade 4/C)
