RASC is offering a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice groom to join their team. Equine groom Level 2 (GCSE).

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
General yard duties will include;
- Mucking out
- Tacking up and tack cleaning
- Bringing in and turning out
- Clipping/pulling/trimming/plaiting
- Bathing
- Schooling
- Exercising horses (including lunging, horse walker, long reining)
- Bandaging
- Rug changing
- Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
- Paddock maintenance

There is no accommodation available. This role will also require working in all weather conditions so any applicant must be willing and able to do this.
About this company
Based at Larkhill Garrison in Wiltshire, we offer horse riding, instruction, competition, livery facilities and much more. The RASC(L) is first and foremost a welfare facility for military personnel and their dependents, however, individuals with no military connection may join.
After this apprenticeship
- For the right candidate, there is the possibility to progress on to a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship.
