Summary
As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, you will create innovative marketing campaigns and promotions, stay informed about emerging digital trends to enhance campaign performance, be a key point of contact for day-to-day communication to our members, develop and monitor engagement across Tendring leisure’s social media platforms.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Supporting the Management team, in developing, expanding and maintaining Tendring Leisure’s social media channels and marketing promotions
- Maintain and update the services internal/ external marketing, website and social media channels. Which will communicate information to members/prospective
- Assist the Tendring Leisure Service with campaigns and events.
- Review, monitor and analyse online activity across the website and social media channels.Keep up to date with new trends and development techniques
- To assist with general marketing and notice board management around the centres
- To utilise Canva, Adobe and other platforms to create Digital and internal/ external marketing content in line with Tendring Leisure’s brand guidelines
- To use leisure management platforms to understand geographic targeted marketing
- To assist the arrangement of internal/ external photo shoots/ short videos to enhance marketing design and increase awareness of the activities and leisure facilities
- To assist with the presenting and communicating of promotions and adverts within magazines, billboard, lamppost banners, eco rollers, posters, bus stops and newspapers

- Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
- Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
- Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
- Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
- Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
- Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
- Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
- Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
- Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
- Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
- Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
- Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
- Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
- Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
- Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
- Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
- Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Your training plan
Multi-channel Marketer, Level 3 (A level)
The Multi-channel marketer Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3 combines the knowledge, skills and behaviours required of the standard and includes Functional Skills in maths and English if required.
Delivery will be in the workplace with an assessor or coach through a combination of assessing, coaching, training and mentoring.
The minimum duration on the apprenticeship is 12-18 months, with an additional 3 months for an externally assessed end point assessment. A maximum total of 21 months plus functional skills if required. Prior learning and experience will also be taken into consideration.
