Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of the class teacher and provide feedback to assist with assessment
- Support pupils to understand instructions, support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils.
- Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task
- Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate
- To assist Class Teachers with preparing and clearing up learning environment and resources, including photocopying, filing and the display and presentation of pupils' work and contribute to maintaining a safe environment
- Undertaking all duties in line with the policies of the federation, including those surrounding equality and raising attainment

- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
