Summary

We’re seeking a passionate Apprentice Producer to join our video content agency. You’ll assist in managing video projects from concept to completion, collaborating with crew and clients. Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Pre-Production Support: Assist with project research, planning, and logistics. This includes location scouting, casting, securing permits, and organising shoot schedules. 
  • Project Coordination: Help coordinate production schedules, liaise with clients, and keep projects on track to meet deadlines and budgetary requirements.
  • On-Set Support: Provide hands-on assistance during shoots, such as managing call sheets, organising equipment, and assisting the crew with various tasks.
  • Post-Production Management: Work with the post-production team to ensure the timely delivery of projects, helping with asset organisation, reviewing edits, and client feedback management.
  • Client Communication: Assist in liaising with clients, updating them on project progress, and ensuring that their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage production paperwork such as contracts, invoices, and production notes, and ensure that all documentation is properly organised and archived.
  • Creative Input: Contribute ideas to creative meetings and help develop innovative video content strategies that align with client objectives.
  • Budget Management: Support senior team members in tracking production expenses and ensuring the project stays within budget.

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.

Your training plan

This role incorporates at least six hours of paid study time per week, including one day per month in person at the Creative Process Training Centre in Brighton. Make sure you can travel to Brighton for this.

Other requirements

Experience: 1-2 years in video production, content creation, or a related field. Experience in a fast-paced production environment is a plus. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound. Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar is advantageous. Organisational Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, including creatives, clients, and freelancers. Problem-Solver: A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in high-pressure situations. Passion for Video: A strong passion for video production and content creation, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
