Summary
Under direct supervision, you will learn & performs a wide variety of technical duties to ensure our aviation product range is compliant with industry best practice. The First 6-months of training program will involve working within the Service team, and other relevant departments at Manchester Airport and Commissioning/ Install teams.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
To complete a 4-year apprenticeship program and attain a ‘competency qualification’ within the Electrical / Electronic “Mechatronics” pathway of the apprenticeship standard whilst attending college on a day release basis and/or as required.
The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described below;
- Competently use Test Equipment (DVM, Radiation meters and PAC tester)
- To attend internal product training
- Training to perform assembly tasks
- To assist in the repair & maintenance of security & detection
- Systems within field Service
- Training to wire electrical control cabinets
- Training to understand GA drawings and electrical documentation.
- Attendance at college on a day-release basis leading to attainment of Engineering Technician Level 3 qualification
- Working across all departments to achieve a complete understanding of the Service, Manufacturing / Engineering processes

- Training will take place both on-site at Manchester Airport and weekly day release at the Rochdale Training. Candidates need to ensure that they can attend both sites.

Candidates, needs to be able to obtain DBS clearance for Airport Airside access Candidates need to be 18 years old+ to meet H&S requirements to work on X-ray machines A clean, full UK driving license is required
