Summary
An excellent opportunity to work in a long-established commercial print, packaging and supply chain company. We are looking for an individual to train in the busy finishing department to operate laminating and guillotine machinery. You will shadow and work alongside our highly skilled and experienced employees.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Responsibilities would include:
- Liaising with Team Leaders/Factory shift managers to ensure all jobs are completed on time in full
- Moving jobs around the production floor using pallet trucks and electric wheels
- Ensuring the area is kept clean and tidy
- Train and learn the processes to run the machines to customers and external compliance standards
- Quality assurance Comply with site EMS procedures
- Complete maintenance activities Follow Health & safety requirements

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a L3 Print Technician Apprenticeship Standard (post-press pathway).
The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "Off-the-Job" requirement of the apprenticeship.
Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both Elanders and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available.
Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be site based.

GCSE or equivalent in:
- Maths (grade 5 )
- English (grade 5)
