We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Bathroom Installation Apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about building a long-term career in installation and is ready to earn a Fitted Interiors Installer Apprenticeship.

Work

As a Bathroom Installation Apprentice, you'll join our experienced team and learn the ropes of our trade. You'll get hands-on experience in a supportive environment, develop practical skills, and gain theoretical knowledge.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the installation of various aspects of a new bathrooms
  • Helping to rip out existing fittings ahead of installation
  • Learning and adhering to safety regulations and industry standards
  • Communicating effectively with clients and team members
  • Working from plans and specifications to exact requirements
  • Understanding product features and benefits to offer optimal solutions to clients
  • Gaining proficiency in using a wide range of tools and machinery
  • Participating in training and coursework to meet the Fitted Furniture Installer Apprenticeship standard

Course contents
  • Carry out location, product, material and dimensional checks prior to installation.
  • Inspect the fabric of the building for suitability of weight of installation.
  • Interpret information from drawings, specifications and functional designs.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, standards, and guidance.
  • Use and store hand and power tools.
  • Select and use personal protective equipment.
  • Remove and dispose of pre-existing products.
  • Assemble and install fitted furniture components in sequence.
  • Install boxing, boarding and frameworks, adjusting to ensure best possible fit.
  • Install and dry-fit ancillary products, for example, hinges, handles, appliances, media equipment or bathroom suite fixtures.
  • Identify and report faults, snags and issues.
  • Carry out rectification work following a root cause analysis, within limits of competence.
  • Maintain a safe working area and return to a safe condition.
  • Carry out a customer handover, including providing product guidance.
  • Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers.
  • Works collaboratively with clients or stakeholders to solve problems
  • Comply with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
  • Applies team working principles.
  • Complete documentation.
  • Your training plan

    • The training will be a mixture of online and face-to-face in the workplace

    You will gain the following qualifications:

    • Level 2 Fitted Interiors Installer Apprenticeship Standard
    • Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
