Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Machine Maintenance: Conducting routine maintenance and calibration of machinery and equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
- Repair Work: Diagnosing and repairing faulty or damaged tools and machines, minimising production downtime.
- Preventative Maintenance: Performing scheduled checks and preventative maintenance tasks to extend machines lifespan.
- Toolmaking: Manufacturing and fitting tools and machine parts using CNC and conventional machines and power tools.
- Inventory Management: Assisting with the management of inventory, including ordering replacements and keeping records.
- Collaboration: Working alongside experienced technicians and engineers, gaining hands-on experience and learning industry best practices.
