Summary
Northern Skills are recruiting on behalf of Tees Valley for a Level 3 Early Years Educator. To support the teaching and learning to individuals and/or groups of pupils in the learning environment. Working within a set of clear guidelines and instructions, and under the direct supervision of a teacher.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members
- To keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys and share this with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life
- To follow the nursery safeguarding procedure to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure
- Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
- Liaise with and support parents and other family members

About this company
Tees Valley Tots, based within the Women’s Centre is Ofsted registered for 23 children. Our nursery follows the EYFS framework for children 0-5 years and can accommodate the government funded 15 hours per week free childcare for 2/3-year old’s. Women attending courses in the Centre are offered free childcare within our creche setting, which removes one of the most common barriers to learning for local women. Each child is an individual and learns at different times & stages, our continual monitoring and varied activities help us to keep the child interested whilst developing skills and ability. Our friendly staff team (Early Years qualified) continually strive to make learning fun, they work closely with key children planning & executing activities to suit each child’s individual needs in line with the EYFS guidelines.
