Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

We are looking for a driven individual to join our team as an Apprentice Commercial Insurance Broker. In this role, you will:

  • Support senior brokers in managing client portfolios, preparing insurance quotations, handling renewals, and assisting with claims management.
  • You’ll also gain valuable experience in insurance administration, including processing documents and managing client records.
  • Basic accounts management, such as invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the UK insurance market, build technical knowledge, and work towards industry-recognised qualifications.

  • Recommend insurance and premiums decisions within the limits of responsibility and in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Gather and interpret relevant information to provide a return on insurance decisions.
  • Match client’s needs with available insurance products and services.
  • Optimises the potential return on insurance decisions within the scope of own role by identifying and positioning the client’s case with the insurer.

    • Fully and part funded learning and development programme that includes the Cert CII
    • Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful Insurance Practitioners

    Requirements

    Essential qualifications

    GCSE in:

    • 5 Subjects including English and maths (grade 4)

    Desirable qualifications

    A Level in:

    • Business, Finance or related subject (grade Pass)
