Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Supporting Classroom Activities: Assisting the lead teacher in preparing lesson materials, organising resources, and helping with classroom activities to ensure a smooth learning environment
- Providing Individual Support: Offering one-on-one assistance to students, especially those who need extra help with understanding lessons or completing tasks
- Classroom Management: Helping maintain discipline and order in the classroom, ensuring students stay on task, and following the teacher's guidelines for managing behaviour
- Administrative Support: Assisting with administrative tasks such as taking attendance, grading assignments, and maintaining student records

- You will attend monthly online delivery sessions and meet with your tutor every 4 weeks via MS Teams
- Observations will be carried out by your mentor
- You will also record off-the-job training activities weekly using your OneFile account

- Maths (grade 4+)
