Summary
European Heathyards are amongst the UK’s most trusted fabricators of high integrity welding, where structural integrity and increased performance are paramount. The apprenticeship will mainly concentrate on welding, fabrication and machine tools. The aim will be for the apprentice to reach coded level.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Day to day tasks may include:
- Welding practice
- Reading engineering drawings
- Heat treatments
- Fabrication and fitting
- Operating machine tools
- Cladding operation
- Bending and manipulation - machine tools
- Coded welding on pipe and plate
- 2G or 6G TIG, MIG and Pulse MIG weling position on pipe
- Welding of stainless amd carbon steel tubes and plates
- Positional welding on pressure vessels, pressure parts and superheater pipework

Your training plan
- This is a level 2 Welding apprenticeship. The apprentice will be required to attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services, in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, 1 day per week for 2 years.
- Level 2 Welding qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

GCSE or equivalent in:
- English & maths (grade 4/C)

After this apprenticeship
