This dynamic Financial Planning Company are looking for a confident and pro-active Apprentice Financial Adviser whom is driven and committed to pursuing a long career in the industry. Full training and supervision provided alongside gaining a Level 4 Financial Adviser qualification.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Supporting Senior Advisers
  • Answering client calls, client letters and follow ups to Adviser meetings and reports
  • Tracking client case work flow contributing to the smooth running of cases
  • Non-advice based client reviews
  • Liaise with Paraplanner for report generation
  • Assist IFAs with maintaining compliant client files

Course contents
  • Know your customer: Make decisions confidently and autonomously in full awareness of the risk/potential external implications attached. Know when to seek further professional input, whilst maintaining high ethical standards and adhering to Treating Customers Fairly requirements.
  • Customer service: Proactively and regularly meet the company’s stated service/quality assurance standards, including complaints procedures.
  • Customer service: Consistently support colleagues and collaborate to achieve a successful customer outcome.
  • Business development: Develop long term relationships with customers. Create new opportunities for business growth through referrals and networking. Build a new business or sustain and grow an existing business by prioritising workloads and deliver in accordance with the associated business plan.
  • Managing Risk: Apply regulatory requirements both in the role of a Financial Adviser and also as applied to the Company. Maintain, the Fit and Proper person standards as laid down by the relevant regulator(s).
  • Using systems and processes: Demonstrate technical proficiency in using the firm’s I.T. systems required to complete the advice process, maintain accurate records, and agree review meetings to sustain the client / adviser relationship. Ensure Data Protection Act is not contravened.
  • Communication skills: Build rapport and communicate with empathy. Present and explain complex information simply and clearly both orally and verbally.

    Level 4 Financial Adviser Apprenticeship Standard:

    The Level 4 Financial Adviser Apprenticeship standard will help to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to become occupationally competent in this role.

    The apprenticeship will include expert-led instruction, mentorship, and real-world application, allowing apprentices to develop a comprehensive understanding of the financial advisory profession. Successful completion of the Financial Adviser Apprenticeship leads to the industry recognised qualification Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA) or the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) and individuals that undertake this programme are rounded and ready for a rewarding, challenging career.

    Essential qualifications

    GCSE or equivalent in:

    • 5 subjects including maths and english (grade 4 or above)
    • 3 passes (grade D or above)

    Other requirements

    Own transport would be ideal and there is adequate on site parking. Candidate should be aware we have dogs in the office regularly. As the candidate progresses they may be asked to visit clients in their homes if appropriate
