Summary
In this role, you'll receive training in the laboratory work that supports dentists to improve/replace damaged & missing teeth. You'll take the prescription of a dentist and impressions of a patient’s mouth, manufacturing dental restorations and appliances, using traditional and advance materials and technique - including 3D modelling and printing!

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Help design and adjust dental prosthetics using CAD/CAM technology.
- Assist skilled dental technicians in creating crowns, bridges, and various dental appliances.
- Learn and implement industry-standard techniques for digital impressions, milling, and finalizing prosthetic devices.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Engage in continuous training and development to improve technical skills and expertise.

Your training plan
Over 21 months, you’ll devote a minimum of 6 hours of your working week on ‘off the job’ training. This can include theory training (for example, virtual lessons & online learning), alongside practical training (for example shadowing, mentoring, & time spent writing assignments. Together this will count towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician apprenticeship. You’ll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro as well as an experienced mentor at Bremadent who together, will make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you’ll need to succeed in your career.
Being an apprentice is hands-on, so you’ll get the chance to learn things you might otherwise not have experienced in a university or college environment.

The 'Dental Laboratory' can assist Dentists with all aspects of digital dentistry, implants, CAD/CAM milling, crown & bridge, prosthetics, orthodontics & pressure formed dental appliances. All products are manufactured in-house within a quality-controlled environment, with investments in the latest digital modelling and advanced manufacturing techniques. We now have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join the Bremadent team as a Laboratory Assistant, with full training provided in partnership with Tiro!
