Summary

We are looking to add to our skilled workforce and recruit a Level 2 Fabrication / Welding Apprentice. This is a great opportunity as you will be supported with the opportunity to go on to a higher Apprenticeship. Duties include: Understanding and interpreting CAD drawings and working with the highest specification materials.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

You will be working across a varied product range, and your duties / training will include:

  • Understanding and interpreting CAD drawings
  • Working with the highest specification materials
  • Welding to recognised standards with MIG and TIG equipment
  • Sheet laser cutting
  • Tube laser cutting
  • CNC punching
  • CNC bending
  • Reading CAD drawings
  • Accurately measuring

You will be trained in a variety of disciplines and will be multi-skilled.

  • Training will take place both on-site at D & J Fabrications and weekly day release at the Rochdale Training. Candidates need to ensure that they can attend both sites

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • Maths & English (grade 4 and above)

Other requirements
