Summary

This Level 7 Apprentice is a developmental position within the CBS Finance function. During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days a week in Cummins, inclusive of study support. The working hours are 37.5hrs per week (with flexibility to suit business needs). On completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a professional ACCA qualification.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Intercompany monthly Netting run for European entities, including cash application and bank reconciliations
  • Intercompany month-end processes
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and timely resolution of aged items
  • Ensure Sox documentation is followed, and all work instructions are maintained, in accordance with current processes and controls
  • Ensure SLA’s and targets are met
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the team

  • Take ownership of allocated projects and effectively manage their own time and the time of others.  Demonstrate good project management skills to deliver high quality work within the appropriate timeline. Act as a role model and motivate others to deliver results.
  • Evaluate information quickly and draw accurate conclusions. Assess a problem from multiple angles  to ensure all relevant issues are considered. Gather the appropriate facts and evidence in order to make decisions effectively.

    • Apprentices without English or mathematics at Level 2 must achieve this prior to the completion of the End Point Assessment
