Summary

As an apprentice resourcer/administrator with the MC Personnel, you will have the opportunity to gain direct recruitment experience within a friendly, supportive environment while studying for a qualification in recruitment resourcing. You will be researching the market to gain an understanding of how to find candidates, plus much more.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Answering high volume phone calls and assisting the caller
  • Taking messages
  • Booking appointments
  • Registering people face to face (mini-interviews
  • Taking ID
  • Completing paperwork etc
  • Filing, scanning & responding to emails
  • Helping with enquiries, making outgoing calls
  • Arranging transportation for workers
  • Assisting workers with payslips
  • Assisting consultants and managers with their administration
  • Identifying and approaching candidates who will potentially fit the client’s requirements
  • Writing and posting job advertisements based on client requirements
  • Liaising with candidates by telephone and email for availability recording and to chase documents and references
  • Liaising with candidates to obtain timesheets for accurate salary payments
  • Adding candidates to internal system and updating with relevant information
  • Sending booking confirmations to candidates and assist with bookings where required

Course contents
  • Research, identify and attract candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy job requirements. This may include identifying labour market shortages and the demand for those with transferrable skills with the capacity to move from the legacy carbon economy into a green economy job.
  • Write, place and update adverts in line with company procedures
  • Monitor responses/applications received and make sure that candidate’s applications are processed efficiently
  • Qualify, shortlist and present suitable candidates against defined job vacancies
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection processes by effectively liaising with the candidates and internal teams
  • Initiate, manage and develop candidate relationships
  • Identify and progress leads as required
  • Contribute to the development of a recruitment resourcing plan
  • Proactively and consistently strive to identify new candidate and client opportunities
  • Provide first line support for all enquiries
  • Provide pre-employment and compliance checks in line with company policy and relevant legislation
  • Provide support to ensure that the candidates and clients receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service at all times
  • Seek and provide feedback in a professional manner at all times to candidates
  • Accurately record candidate and client information on the recruitment database
  • Utilise database information in line with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Escalate non-compliance where appropriate
  • Meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (e.g. interviews arranged, candidates sourced etc)
  • Your training plan

    Level 2 Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship Standard:

    • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
    • In-house training will be given to support specifics of the role

    To successfully complete this apprenticeship the learner will need to complete one level 2 knowledge qualification and one level 2 competency qualification as listed below: 

    • Level 2 Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing
    • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing

    • Maths (grade 4/C)
