We are a small, friendly team in a busy primary school office based in Crewe and work closely together to provide an efficient administration function to the school, leadership team and parents.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
We have a vacancy for an Business Administration Apprentice to help with daily duties which include:
- Deal with Parent/Visitor enquiries via telephone and face-to-face to ensure handled efficiently and in a friendly manner
- Photocopying letters and information leaflets to go out to parents. Also adding letters to Class DoJo
- Assisting attendance officers with register queries
- Dealing with dinner registers and school lunch bookings on the School Money System
- Filing, photocopying and collation of information
- Taking information to classrooms for children and staff
- Opening the post and distributing to staff
- Distributing stationery stock requests to staff
- Notwithstanding the detail in this job description, in accordance with the school's flexibility policy the job holder will undertake such work as may be determined by the Principal from time to time or up to a level consistent with the main responsibilities of the job
- Discrete and will work to a high level of confidentiality (dealing with pupil and parent information)
- Good numeracy skills (cash handling and some account keeping will be a part of the role)
- Good written communication skills (letter writing, e-mails and school newsletter will be a part of the role)

END POINT ASSESSMENT:
Gateway - Portfolio of evidence Exam - Knowledge Test (comprising of 50 multiple choice questions) Portfolio-based Interview Presentation around Project/Improvement.
Training to be provided - All job role training will be given to the candidate by the office staff on the school's administration processes and you will be enrolled onto a Business Administrator Apprenticeship with Total People.

Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 4)
- Mathematics (grade 4)
