Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- You will be working closely with engineers to produce quotes for clients
- Answering the phone in a professional and articulate manner
- Managing ticket queues to ensure SLA’s are met as well as escalating to the relevant parties depending on the urgency of the ticket
- Creating support tickets and ensuring ticket status' and notes are accurately updated and clear
- Triaging a variety of issues, communicating with the customers and colleagues to ensure a resolution within the SLA
- Building new machines to client specifications
- Communicating with the service desk team to optimise their ability to deliver support to customers
- Following up with clients when tickets require an engineer to speak with them
- Arranging remote sessions between clients and engineers
- Raise quotes and source equipment required at competitive price

Upon successful completion of your course, we may consider taking you on to become a 1st Line Support Engineer. We may also feel that you are ready to take on some harder qualifications such as the CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ exams, which we would sponsor you through.
