Summary

Known for our exclusive rum collection & immersive experiences, we are seeking an apprentice to help grow our brand & online presence. You’ll support the creation & execution of marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, help grow our social media, develop content, analyse data, & drive customers to our store.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Key Responsibilities

● Support marketing campaigns: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing activities to attract and retain customers both in-store and online.

● Create content: Contribute to the creation of innovative content, including video, images, and copywriting, that supports our marketing campaigns.

● Social media management: Help manage our social media platforms, generating engaging posts and growing our online community.

● Data analysis: Learn how to use data tools to record, interpret, and analyse campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement.

● Project management: Assist in managing marketing assets, ensuring they are legally compliant and aligned with Villains Rum’s brand guidelines.

● Stakeholder engagement: Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver marketing briefs on time and within budget.

● Content management: Use content management systems to publish and manage our online content, ensuring a cohesive brand presence.

● Customer engagement: Use customer insight tools to understand our audience and help tailor campaigns to their needs.

● Campaign monitoring: Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing suggestions for optimisation.

As part of your Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship, you’ll study the following key areas:

● Campaign Development: Learn how to develop and interpret marketing briefs and coordinate campaigns across multiple channels (online and offline).

● Content Creation: Develop creative approaches using video, images, and persuasive copywriting, ensuring content aligns with the brand.

● Research & Data: Use survey and research tools to gather audience insights and analyse campaign data to optimise performance.

● Marketing Technology: Build and implement multi-channel campaigns using the latest technology and software tools to achieve marketing objectives.

● Budget & Time Management: Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements and ensure timely delivery.

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.
  • Your training plan

    • You will complete the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship Standard
    • Functional Skills in English and maths if required
    • The apprenticeship delivery and final exams will take place remotely
