Summary
You will be given the training necessary to carry out your role, including mentoring by a strong, established site team. You’ll use the latest in blended learning techniques, to ensure you receive the highest levels of training whilst working on the core business activities.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Keeping the IT system cleansed & updated
- Customer & supplier returns/credit
- Stock accuracy scores/figures
- Scanning of all documentation (POD's, stock notes etc)
- Support with the purchase of non-steel consumable items
- Customer Service & Continuous Improvement
- All admin support
- Support the promotion and improvement of safety and awareness

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- No weekly release day into college as all training will be done online and in the workplace
- One monthly masterclass at college to be attended
- Assessor will visit the work place every 4-6 weeks

Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 9-4 (A*-C))
- Maths (grade 9-5 (A*-B))

There is an expectation that your Maths will be excellent as there is a lot of Maths involved in the role. Please ensure you are punctual and reliable, with good time keeping. Ensure you are able to travel to the work place easily.
