Summary

Wildwood is a full-service agency, providing marketing & PR to a wide range of B2B clients including smart home, interior design, building services and manufacturing companies. Working as part of our team, the apprentice will be involved in content creation for social media campaigns, podcast series, events & other PR and communications activities.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and visually appealing content using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)  
  • Podcast production: Assisting the Wildwood team in creating, editing and finalising podcasts in both audio only and video formats
  • Social Media support: Assist the team in executing social media campaigns across various platforms, ensuring timely and relevant content is published – for LinkedIn and Instagram, but also across X, Facebook etc
  • Copywriting: Create compelling copy for social media posts, marketing campaigns, and other digital platforms
  • Videography: Execute basic videography tasks, including shooting/capture, lighting, and audio, to produce high-quality video content
  • Editing: Edit videos and audio files to a professional standard using Premiere Pro, ensuring coherence and alignment with brand guidelines
  • Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and content marketing
  • Analytics: Monitor and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Wildwood team to ensure consistency and integration of all marketing activities

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

    This role incorporates at least six hours of paid study time per week, including one day per month in person at the Creative Process Training Centre in Brighton. Make sure you can travel to Brighton for this.

    Free parking at the office in Faygate There is a train station at Faygate, however there is no path to the office. Therefore it is preferable for the candidate to be able to drive.

    After this apprenticeship

    On completion of the apprenticeship the apprentice can discuss with the employer to progress into a full time role.
