Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and highly prestigious multi sector recruitment company as an apprentice resourcer. This is a fast paced role, varied role with plenty of opportunity for career development and future progression. You will based in an onsite office, within one of our clients premises in Stafford.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

We have an exciting opportunity for a recruitment resource apprentice to join our team based onsite at one of our key accounts in Stafford.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an apprenticeship qualification and a direct route into the world of recruitment, This position offers lots of opportunity to grow in the role and to develop a successful career in the industry.

Working with the Account Manager, Recruitment Consultants, and onsite teams, we're looking for a proactive individual who's looking to develop a career in recruitment.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

Contacting candidates who apply via a multitude of job boards and company website for all current job vacancies
Complete interviews and candidate registrations
Take in-bound telephone enquiries and complete in-depth telephone interviews
CV search via various job boards
Contact existing database with new opportunities
Complete applicable administration with regards to tracking applications
Interview and register candidates in accordance with all current legislative requirements
Obtain and update candidate information and upload onto our system, maintaining full compliance to legislation
Provide leads via candidate data to relevant branch
Supply relevant information to payroll department, relevant branch and clients on new candidates.
Place candidates with relevant experience for assessment/inductions in a timely manner
Complete applicable administration with regards to processing candidates
Maintain databases and internal systems
Maintain auditable compliance from the initial registration and repeated requirements
Manage candidate availability to support the planning team
General administration support for the branch.

Course contents
  • Research, identify and attract candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy job requirements. This may include identifying labour market shortages and the demand for those with transferrable skills with the capacity to move from the legacy carbon economy into a green economy job.
  • Write, place and update adverts in line with company procedures
  • Monitor responses/applications received and make sure that candidate’s applications are processed efficiently
  • Qualify, shortlist and present suitable candidates against defined job vacancies
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection processes by effectively liaising with the candidates and internal teams
  • Initiate, manage and develop candidate relationships
  • Identify and progress leads as required
  • Contribute to the development of a recruitment resourcing plan
  • Proactively and consistently strive to identify new candidate and client opportunities
  • Provide first line support for all enquiries
  • Provide pre-employment and compliance checks in line with company policy and relevant legislation
  • Provide support to ensure that the candidates and clients receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service at all times
  • Seek and provide feedback in a professional manner at all times to candidates
  • Accurately record candidate and client information on the recruitment database
  • Utilise database information in line with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Escalate non-compliance where appropriate
  • Meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (e.g. interviews arranged, candidates sourced etc)
  • Your training plan

    Teaching and learning the skills, knowledge and behaviours to be a competent Resourcer within a Recruitment sector

    Essential qualifications

    GCSE or equivalent in:

    • Maths (grade 4)
    • English (grade 4)
