Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Auto-enrolment Pensions Department
- Input pension contributions to provider websites accurately in time to meet tight deadlines.
- Complete weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly or monthly assessments for the payroll of each scheme to ensure that contributions are all correct, whether any employee has become eligible to join the scheme and have been added correctly and whether any employees have opted out of the scheme, asked to opt in or have asked to change the amount of their contributions.
- Set up new schemes ensuring all paperwork is correct, compliant and meets The Pensions Regulator requirements.
- Prepare and email or post assessment and postponement letters to employees as required.
- Completing Pension Regulator Declarations and Re-Declarations within timescales and renewal of Scheme certificates.
- Correspond with client firms and product providers via email, letter and telephone, updating client records with notes of all conversations. Templates are available but you must be able to adapt these to suit the individual situation.
- Maintain accurate records, continually updating them as work is completed, on an ongoing basis.
- Deal with client queries.
