Work

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring IT Technician Apprentice to join Objective Technologies!
If you are looking to progress in the IT industry and hardware repair, then this is the right job for you. The successful applicant will undertake a Level 3 Information Communication Technician: Technical Support apprenticeship and you will have a great progression opportunity.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our small to medium sized businesses to provide managed IT services, cloud services, backup/disaster recovery, consultancy and support. Joining the team as an IT Support Apprentice, your day-to-day duties will see you:
- Setup and configuration of laptops, desktops, mobiles and tablets
- Carry out diagnostic checks / fault finding
- Installing new hardware and software
- Carry out hardware upgrades
- Dealing with 1st level customer hardware issues
- Accurately log time and notes in the Helpdesk System
- Learning how to provide technical support using remote management software
- Updating and maintaining customer asset registers

Your training plan
As an IT Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the Objectives Technology team combined with 25 days of off-the-job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade C/4)
- Maths (grade C/4)
