Summary
An exciting opportunity to join the team as a Commis Chef Apprentice at The Station Kitchen, West Bay. Commis Chefs support the kitchen in providing the culinary offer by preparing, cooking and finishing a range of food items, whilst rotating around each section of the kitchen.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Assisting the kitchen with food preparation
- Washing up and cleaning down
- Maintaining excellence in kitchen hygiene
- Checking deliveries and putting orders away
- Learning to create dishes, including starters, fish and meat preparation and desserts
- Vegetable and salad preparations
- Assisting the head chef and team with general tasks

You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to attend an interview and assessment at Weymouth College prior to your application being passed on.
