Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will undertake a structured training program of workshop work and academic study to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the requirements of a leading well-established supplier of graphite machining services to the Aerospace industry.
The successful individual will gain first-hand experience of, but not limited to the following:
- Working in aerospace facility to exacting quality standards
- Manufacturing to customer drawings and tight tolerancing
- Developing 3 and 5 axis programmes
- The setting and programming of work on CNC machines
- Basic fitting techniques
- Checking and inspection of fixtures
- Understanding both in house and customer supplied engineering drawings

- Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
- Level 4 HNC in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
- In house training in line with your requirements
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English Language (grade 4/C)
- Maths (grade 4/C)
- Level 3 Engineering / other relevant qualification (grade Pass)

After this apprenticeship
We are looking to train the next generation of Engineering talent within our state-of-the-art Machining Facility. Through this comprehensive Apprenticeship you will progress from Level 4 to Degree level, upon completion you will gain a full-time position within our production department.
