About this company
Nearly New Cashmere restores thousands of second hand 100% cashmere pieces a year. After years as an avid second hand shopper as well as seller, our founder Ali focused her attention on buying discarded 100% cashmere. She couldn't let such a precious fabric go to waste and committed to making this luxury affordable to everyone. We restore thousands of discarded 100% cashmere items over the course of a year. We recycle mostly post-consumer waste - that is cashmere that has been owned and worn before. Whilst the majority of our garments do not need repairs, occasionally we make minor alterations to an otherwise perfect jumper to give it a new lease of life. Each piece of knitwear is individually inspected to ensure it meets our exacting quality standards, before being carefully reconditioned and prepared for sale. Any garments that do not reach our high standards are reworked into new items, such as snoods, gloves and hats, so that nothing goes to waste.
