Summary
This is a great opportunity for an aspiring civils operative to join a growing company that cares about its staff and offers ongoing training and development opportunities including plant licences. Initially we are looking to support apprentices with their learning, development and training.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Evidence of good understanding of health & safety
- Understanding and capable of using various tools and plant used to excavate
- General labour duties, including cage building, cable pulling, trenching, removal of products etc.
- Liaise with clients and general public
- Ability to support with column installation
- Cage construction
- Chamber installation
- Working from height
- Support with fence installation
- Assist with laying of stone, sand and asphalt
- Use of plant such as compactors, cat & generators etc
- Confidence in operating plant, using tools etc.
- Sign, fence and post installation
- Sufficient knowledge of risk assessments and health & safety
- Cable pulling, trenching and excavating
- Liaise with clients and general public

Other requirements
We cover the UK, so travel may be required at various sites, particularly in Lincolnshire, Cornwall and on the M1. Overnight stays away from home will be needed.
