Summary
We are looking for a mechanic apprentice. Need to be punctual, and hard working. Ideally already enrolled on a relevant college course. Need to have an interest in cars. The candidate will be required to assist the vehicle technician, as well as assisting on MOT tests. Salary: Min wage for an apprentice 8 hr shift - Mon to Fri (1 day at college)

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Shadowing and assisting mechanics in the workshop
- Carry out repairs on vehicles to their capabilities
- Using diagnostic equipment
- General day to day tasks within the workshop

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training plan
Day release at college (CEMAST or Highbury) completing Level 2 and 3 NVQ in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Before the Standard is met, all apprentices must hold a certificate that meets the EU’s 2014 F-gas regulation.
Functional skills if required.

GCSE or equivalent in:
- Maths, English etc (grade 4)
