The opportunity to develop technical product knowledge as well as administration, sales and marketing skills to be able to support the sales function. Progression could be either within sales support or account management.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Answering the phone and forwarding all messages to team members
- Greeting clients and advising staff of their arrival and arranging refreshments for meetings to include checking meeting rooms are kept tidy at all times
- Process sales orders by firstly checking the requirement and then entering details on the CRM database and ensuring correct stock allocation
- Tracking all orders and ensuring dispatch/proof of deliveries
- Communication with the relevant account manager, internal support teams and with the customer, ensuring that the customer is kept informed
- Create work orders for reel cutting, liaising with the warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely availability and delivery
- Coordinate and oversee direct-to-site shipments as required
- Listen to customer requirements, identify and share opportunities for upsell to achieve sales through service
- Preparation and co-ordination of sales materials and collateral
- Maintenance of marketing and sales media to include online content
- Manage linked-in connections and develop own professional network
- General sales office support and ad-hoc admin when required
