Summary
The successful candidate will be working with city and guilds qualified carpenters with 30 plus year’s experience. We carry out all types of building work from new builds, extensions, conversions, and maintenance.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- The successful candidate will be working with a carpenter carrying out tasks as you begin to gain knowledge and experience
- You will be expected to help keep the site safe and tidy, load and unload materials, assist where required and watch and learn
- As you become more experienced you will be given carpentry tasks of your own. Either helping or carrying out tasks on your own but under the supervision of your work colleagues
- These tasks will include 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, building timber roofs, roofing, plasterboarding and sometimes helping other trades

Other requirements
You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to attend an interview and assessment at Weymouth College prior to your application being passed on.
