Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- You will undertake the modern upholstery route of the Furniture
Manufacturing Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard and be based in Bolton at our large workshops. - Learning how to upholster a variety of chairs and settees to a high standard in both fabric and leather using both power and hand tools
- Learning to use cutting tools, saws, staple guns and upholstery tools.
- Deep buttoning
- Finishing and studding
- Upholstery preparation
- Upholstery of high end leather furniture
- You will be assigned a mentor and trainer to support you with your training and development
