Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Perform roof installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks according to project specifications and safety guidelines
  • Inspect roofs for damage, leaks, or other issues and provide accurate assessments and recommendations
  • Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions, ensuring precision and accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions

Other requirements

This role will involve working at heights and being outside throughout the year. A driving licence and car will be an advantage to drive to our head office in Ashton In Makerfield each morning to join your team working on site which can be anywhere in the North West. Alternatively, if you live in Liverpool or Wigan, you may be able to get a lift into work.
