Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Learn to greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Learn to assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations
- Learn to take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special dietary requests are communicated to the kitchen
- Learn to serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to SOP’s
- Learn how to set up and maintain dining areas, ensuring tables are clean and properly set with utensils, glassware, and tableware
- Learn to monitor and respond to guests needs throughout their experience, including refilling drinks and clearing empty dishes
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring the safety and well-being of both guests and colleagues
- Learn to process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions with integrity and precision
