Summary

As a Front of House Apprentice at The Plough, you will have the unique opportunity to learn the essentials of exceptional customer service, gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, and grow into a key role within our team. You will work closely with our experienced staff, learning the art of hospitality and service etiquette.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and warm demeanor.
  • Assist in taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring that guests' needs are met promptly and professionally
  • Cleaning and clearing tables, managing the glasswash and taking payment
  • Learn to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to optimize the dining experience
  • Develop an understanding of The Plough’s menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide accurate information to guests
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy
