Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Food preparation: Following recipes, production procedures, and hygiene practices to prepare and produce food
- Kitchen organization: Keeping the kitchen clean and organized, including washing and drying equipment, cleaning stations, and ensuring fresh ingredients are available
- Inventory: Keeping inventory and ensuring produce matches orders
- Food presentation: Ensuring food is presented well and to high standards
- Communication: Communicating with the team, making suggestions, and offering assistance to customers
- Time management: Planning and organizing duties to meet service times and complete tasks efficiently

As a Commis Chef Apprentice, you will be expected to attend college one day per week for one year and this will be Hammersmith & Fulham College, which is located in Barons Court W14 9BL, which is opposite Barons Court underground (District and Picadilly lines)
