Summary

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Assisting senior team members to deliver salon services
- Engaging positively with clients and promoting a positive image of yourself and the salon
- Greeting and gowning clients in readiness for their appointment
- Preparing equipment and products for each appointment
- Carrying out shampooing, conditioning treatments, removing colours and any other tasks deemed suitable under supervision
- Answering the telephone, dealing with enquirries and making appointments
- Processing client payments
- Making and serving refreshments for the clients
- Promoting our salon services and products
- Ensuring that the salon is clean and tidy at the end of every shift
- Commitment to training by attending all training sessions, courses, assessments and reviews
- Attending staff meetings

Working towards completing level 2 Hairdressing Professional Apprenticeship Standard. Work based learning with attendance to the Ware campus once per week (Monday) to achieve VTCT - Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing).
