Summary

You will have an opportunity as part of your apprenticeship to work in various areas of the business to aid in your development towards a Design Engineer. This is a good opportunity to join one of Hull’s most established engineering companies and help it grow and continue to be successful.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Creating and amending 2D CAD drawings / 3D Models.
  • Creating and amending design documents, technical documents and procedures.
  • Support the Senior Design Engineers/Design Engineers on development of products and other project work.
  • Responding to production queries during the build period, as and when required.
  • Attending internal departmental meetings, taking notes, and following through with allocated tasks.
  • Be familiar with all company policies and procedures.

  • Training will include a full programme (in-house and external provided modules) based on starting skill set.

 

  • You will attend college on a day release basis to study a Level 3 Engineering Design and Draughtsperson qualification.

  • Science (grade 5)
