Summary

To be trained in basic machining skills & competences, to advance to accurately interpret drawing & electronic files to produce components & assemblies to very high levels of accuracy and fine tolerances. Operate & programme a variety of complex machine tools.

37 hours per week. Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:00pm (8 working hours) Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm (5 working hours) 30 minutes unpaid lunch break Monday-Thursday. No lunch break Fridays.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

After this apprenticeship

To progress to become a fully competent CNC Milling Machine programmer / operator.  To confidently work with customer drawings & files to produce complex components for a wide range of industrial sectors, using up-to-date machine tools & software. To become a permanent, key member of the CNC milling team.
