We are looking for someone who has a real passion for fitness! As a Fitness Instructor, you will need to inspire people to train, tailor workouts to the individual; making them fun and effective, ensuring that they use the equipment both effectively and safely. The role of a Fitness Instructor is varied and interesting as you never know who your next client is going to be, so you will need to possess excellent people skills to build peoples trust and confidence in you.
Main Responsibilities:
- Fitness assessments, consultations and introduction sessions for new members
- Creating personal exercise plans for members
- Demonstrating activities for members to follow
- Showing members how to use exercise machines and free weights correctly
- In line with health and safety supervise members to make sure they are exercising safely and effectively
- When on duty act as a point of contact for members dealing with any problems or concerns
- Complete health and safety checks as and when directed
- Be the point of contact for new members, taking them through the application process from start to finish including tours. Ensuring the membership database is updated and all relevant paperwork is filed correctly
- General housekeeping duties, making sure the club is kept to a clean and professional standard
- General administration duties including answering the telephone, e-mails, filing etc.
- Maintain a high level of commitment to your studies
- Ensure that the work dress code is adhered to and maintain a good level of personal hygiene
What your apprenticeship includes:
-A mixture of face to face and online catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress
-A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
-Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer
-The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don't already have GCSE)
At Freedom Leisure you will work towards your L3 Personal Training Enhanced Apprenticeship Qualification over the course of 15 Months
