Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Sales Administration:

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including data entry
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email to assist with enquiries
  • Utilise QuickBooks software to input and maintain accurate sales records
  • Manage and update Excel spreadsheets with sales data
  • Handle customer orders, invoices
  • Ensure timely responses to customer queries and complaints
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance overall customer service experience
  • Convert sales leads

Social:

  • Manage business social media profiles such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, & Instagram
  • Develop new and maintain existing Social Media profiles for the business
  • Build followers and increase engagement across all social media platforms
  • Develop new ideas to promote the business using social media/website
  • Online presence
  • Manage the company website alongside our IT consultant
  • Carry out Search Engine Optimisation
  • SEO activities to increase website traffic
  • Maintain the company website content
  • Image editing - cropping, resizing, other Photoshop work
  • Manage and update the company website to promote the company and products
  • The main purpose of the role will be to promote the business through social media and digital marketing channels
  • Create sales funnels using template/CMS system

  • Run marketing campaigns

  • Search Engine Marketing – PPC & SEO, Digital Display Advertising, Social Media and Email Marketing
  • Ensure that PPC search campaigns are monitored daily and meet relevant targets
  • Create display ads
  • Create Ads for search and display networks
  • Advertising and promotion through social media platforms
  • Draft copy for digital marketing communications
  • Ensure the content and format of all digital marketing is in accordance with the organisation’s/client’s brand guidelines
  • Assist with branding, design and content for presentations and proposals
  • E-mail marketing activity
  • Sourcing and writing news articles and associated images
  • Develop landing pages for clients
  • Content creation (Infographics, Case study and eBooks)
  • Conduct market research of competitors
  • Upload and schedule video release (YouTube, TikTok etc.)
  • Mobile marketing

Analytics:

  • Track and monitor a campaigns performance with a weekly/monthly report
  • Analyse data to identify the target market and optimise each campaign
  • Analyse the traffic and visitors to the business website and social media platforms
  • Analyse and report data with Google Analytics
  • Collecting campaign metrics
  • Follow up and analysis of campaign results
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
  • Deliver reporting and analysis of the campaigns and projects during and after campaigns to ensure that marketing is focused on providing strong returns

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

    A Multi-Channel Marketer (level 3) will learn how to effectively manage and execute marketing strategies across various channels. It suits those who want to develop skills in areas like content creation, campaign management, and data analysis. The programme is well-suited for graduates, marketing and comms assistants, marketing administrators, social media assistants and those looking to enhance their marketing expertise.

    The training includes one study day per week. One of those study days per month is in person at the Creative Process Training Centre in Brighton. Please make sure you can travel to Brighton for this.
