Summary

We are seeking a creatively-minded, organised, and confident individual to join our team as a Learner Engagement Marketing Apprentice. You will support both our recruitment and marketing teams to implement digital marketing campaigns across various platforms and support our School and College careers programs to attract candidates to HBTC.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Create and schedule engaging social media posts and job adverts to attract candidates and businesses to HBTC
  • Create, edit, and upload apprenticeship and job vacancies to the company website
  • Develop interesting, informative, and engaging blog posts, articles, and success stories for publication on the company website
  • Monitor web and social media analytics to suggest and implement improvements
  • Optimise web pages to rank high on search engines for key terms
  • Create and implement email marketing campaigns to attract more vacancies to HBTC
  • Promote and develop the HBTC brand across all platforms
  • Support the recruitment team with various tasks such as telephone interviewing candidates, editing and creating CVs, and scheduling candidate interviews
  • Engage and support local schools and training providers with their careers programs by conducting career sessions, one-on-one sessions, mock interviews, presentations, and fulfilling other ad-hoc requirements
  • Maintain and develop relationships with local schools and colleges

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.
  • Your training plan

    Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Multi-Channel Marketing consisting of:

    • Level 3 Diploma in Multi-Channel Marketing
    • Level 2 Functional Skill in Maths (if applicable)
    • Level 2 Functional Skill in English (if applicable)

    You will be required to attend a half-day session with HBTC where you will work towards any functional skills (where needed) that you have to take. Additional off the job training will also be required as part of the Apprenticeship There will also be an end point assessment.

    Essential qualifications

    GCSE or equivalent in:

    • English (grade 4/C)
    • maths (grade 4/C)
