Summary

To support Momentum Appointed Representatives in developing their business by: Assisting them in the conversion of new business, service of existing accounts and retention of renewals. Supporting the other team members as required. Providing administration support as necessary.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Respond positively to all enquiries received from AR’s, AR Clients and underwriters in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Develop effective working relationships with AR’s and underwriters
  • Ensure that Acturis records are created and/or maintained for all clients.
  • Ensure that renewals are processed according to documented procedures and within appropriate timescales.
  • Ensure all outstanding actions are recorded appropriately within the system diary and followed up accordingly.    
  • Provide administration support to team members as required.
  • Complete administration duties as required including issuing invoices and insurance documents.
  • Liaise with accounts department to assist with the credit control process.
  • Assist AR’s with claim notifications.
  • Ensure that any enquiries that are not within your skill set or experience are quickly referred and followed up.

In addition:

  • Assist other team members with any duties to ensure smooth running of the office.
  • Handle enquiries from potential AR’s effectively
  • Promote the services of Momentum
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be required.

  • Identify potential claims fraud and determine the correct action to prevent loss.

  • Recommend insurance and premiums decisions within the limits of responsibility and in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Gather and interpret relevant information to provide a return on insurance decisions.
  • Match client’s needs with available insurance products and services.

  • Your training plan

    You will work towards your:

    • Insurance Practitioner Level 3 Apprenticeship.
    • Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII).
    • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required).

    Training will be via Davies, virtually. 6 hours per week off the job training.

    GCSE in:

    • Maths and English (grade 4)
