Summary
We have an exciting opportunity availble. We are looking to recruit a pharmacy apprentice to join our small team of qualified professionals. We are looking for someone who is hard working, keen to learn and develop new skills, with a friendly attitude, whom is reliable. This is a level 2 apprenticeship programme.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Dispensing of medication to patients under supervision
- Over-counter sales of non-prescription medication
- Check and monitor prescription slips
- Health & safety responsibility
- Use of pharmacy software
- Data entry relating to medication
- Labelling and dispensing under supervision
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Working within a team environment
- Any other duties required by the manager
- Liaison with Doctors surgery and health professionals

- Pharmacy Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification
- Medicine Counter Assistant Course accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council [GPhc]
- Dispensing Assistant Course accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council [GPhc]
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- In-house training - Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English/Maths (grade 4/c)
