Fantastic opportunity to work for a independent leading property specialist who have been selling and renting properties across Northamptonshire for over 27 years. As part of your role you will be allocating rents each day then make payments to the land lords, process agency fees each day and add to lettings spreadsheet, an exciting and varied role

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Our client is an independent leading property specialist who have been selling and renting properties across Northamptonshire for over 27 years. Having sold tens of thousands of properties locally, they have a real feel for their customers’ needs and current market trends within the area. Their services are differentiated by high standards of quality by using their in-house marketing department with professional photography, floor plans and brochures ensuring that each property stands out.

They are now looking for an eager and ambitious individual to join their accounts team.

Key responsibilities include:

·                Allocate rents each day then make payments to Landlords.

·                Put on retainers and process amendments/refunds.

·                Reconcile the rent account via ALTO (our CRM)

·                Process Agency Fees each day and add to Lettings banked income spreadsheet. 

·                Send Exchange invoices and process EPC receipts.

·                Reconcile Lettings/FS bank accounts on Sage Accounts software.

·                Preparing Statistics at start of each month, simple data entry

·                Internal invoices and any invoices that need to be sent monthly.

·                Printing all invoices received, coding then giving to Accounts Manager for approval. Then inputted onto Sage Accounts software.

·                Process & Pay Part Time invoices.

·                Year-End Filing, boxing up prior year invoices, accounts documents etc

·                Commission Statements for all companies.

·                Process manual payments each Friday.

Skills and experience required:

The successful candidate will need to have great organisational and team work skills. They must have good attention to detail and have a keen interest in finance as well as a keen eye for detail.

This role will be supported by Starting Offs Level 3 AAT apprenticeship qualification and off-the-job training.

Course contents
  • Assist with the investigation and response to financial information queries.
  • Record and analyse financial data using the organisation’s standard tools and processes.
  • Apply double entry bookkeeping and accounting standards to process financial documents, generate financial statements and report financial information to users of accounts.
  • Assist with production of accurate financial information for the preparation of accounts.
  • Reconcile financial data, such as, preparation of reconciliations or review of reconciliations.
  • Investigate, resolve or escalate transactional queries and errors within their remit as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Communicate financial information in a way that non-finance stakeholders can interpret and understand.
  • Utilise digital skills to present key financial information using finance and accounting software and applications.
  • Use software packages to assist with basic accounting tasks in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
  • Communicate using varying approaches and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
